Peanut Butter & Co.'s Dark Chocolate Dreams
While I was in Maine recently, I happened upon this peanut butter at the Hannaford in Topsham. I'd heard of Peanut Butter and Co. before - - I think I'd read about it in a magazine, but it isn't sold in these parts. So, when I saw it in Maine, I eagerly bought a jar so I could see for myself what all the fuss was about. The jar just arrived at my house yesterday, because I uh, *ahem* bought a few more souvenirs than what I could fit in my suitcase, so I had to ship a few boxes home to myself - - sad, but true. I made a loaf of honey wheat bread this morning, so it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try. Oh. My. Goodness. If you live in Maine, drop what you are doing NOW, and RUN to Hannaford and get yourself a jar. I guess I should have prefaced that with, if you love peanut butter, Nutella, chocolate, peanut butter cups, etc., then go and get yourself some. It is nothing short of pure evil in a jar. I'm sure I could sit and eat it with a spoon until I got sick. I have a brother-in-law who would probably do just that, if he had some, so I'd probably ought to get some for him.

Uh, not sure of the cost but my birthday and Christmas are coming... perhaps it could work as a Happy Birthday-Merry Christmas??? Sounds divine.
I did it.....I ran to Hannaford's to pick up a jar of the dark chocolate. While there the white chocolate beckoned me, so now I have two jars stashed away! This peanut butter is the best!
Yay, Cheryl! Now you've got me wishing I'd bought the white chocolate, too! I have to say, I'm also intrigued by the "hot" peanut butter too - - I bet it would make a great peanut sauce for chicken, or pad thai. YUM! Joy - - I think you're out of luck, unfortunately - - they don't sell this stuff in Idaho!
Maybe Santa will swing by Hannaford's on his way to Idaho . . .
Good ol' Santa! Too bad Santa can't fly with alcohol, or he'd swing by Ste. Chapelle on his way to Maine!
