I found this sweet porcelain Holly Hobbie plate at the thrift store the other day, for 50 cents. It says, "A good example is the best teacher". Very Holly Hobbie-ish. I loved it right away, because I adored Holly Hobbie when I was a little girl. I wish I had saved my Holly and Heather Hobbie rag dolls from back then! The only thing wrong with the plate was that it was just begging to be piled high with brownies.
There. That's much better.

I absolutely loved Holly Hobbit when I was a kid! I used to have a H.H. carriage for my doll!
Those brownies go perfectly on that plate!
Okay, give it up- what's your favorite brownie recipe? I have a few- but I also use the Ghirardelli box mix (old habits die hard) which are pretty tasty. Cute plate!
Love the plate, and the brownies look delicious! :)
Hi Heather- Just noticed your new photos, wow! Nice photos.
Kirsten -
I have to say, I mostly use box mixes for brownies, because they are just so darn good, or I have "doctored" recipes for box mixes. I have been experimenting with "from scratch" recipes lately though, too. Pretty much, if it is chocolate, I'll eat it.
Cheryl - thanks! I'm glad I finally have a decent picture of Steve and I together! I am usually the one behind the camera, not to mention, Steve does not like having his picture taken, so it is rare that we ever get caught on film together.
