The Timeless Art of Seduction

I can't believe my folks have to leave tomorrow - - these past two weeks have flown by. I haven't been posting much because we've been quite busy here, but I'm hoping to resume regular posting as of today.

Yesterday, we set out to a local picture studio in hopes of getting a good shot of the boys and I, because that is what Steve told me he wanted for his birthday. Camden has always been super-easy to photograph. He follows the photographer's direction quite well, and is always done within a couple of minutes. As for Griffin....oh, Griffin. That is another story. Needless to say, I did not have high hopes for coming home with any pictures yesterday. Luckily, we were able to get one decent shot of the boys and I:

...and then there is this one of my folks and the boys. I love this picture. Love it.
But then there is this next picture. Griffin was being a bit of a "pill", shall we say - - didn't want to sit where he was supposed to, had a very runny nose, kept bursting into tears, etc., etc. However, he really liked the teeny chaise lounge prop they had, even though it wasn't supposed to be in the picture. He insisted on sitting in it, so we finally gave up and threw it in the picture, so that he'd sit still and get his picture taken already. Look very closely at this photo, though. Pay particular attention to Griffin. Does this picture look familiar to you?

Think, now. Where have you seen this picture before? You know you have.

Yikes! A mini-George! That is too funny, Heather (if a bit scary). The other photos are absolutely gorgeous, and I can certainly relate to the challenges of getting more than one child to cooperate in an important photo!

What a Wonderful post Heather ! Enjoy your time with your parents that is left. I know your going to miss them a great deal but it only makes your next visit even more special !

P.s To make your sad day of parent's leaving the thing to make it all better is a trip to Target and a trip to Starbucks !

That is so funny! I was thinking that looked like George the second I saw it! Those pictures are so wonderful of all of you and it's so nice that you included your parents.
Where did you have them done? We've never had ours taken - it's on my list of things to do.

The comparison picture of Griffin and George are hillarious! The other pictures are lovely pictures as well. I can't believe your parents have been there two weeks already either! When I saw Uncle Buzz in Target not too long ago he was definately looking forward to the visit. I bet you are counting the days to the next one already :)

Photo's of the kids never change...mine as young adults still grumble when I suggest it's "photo time". Oh well one thing a mother always loves...The boys really look alike in the photo and nice one of Uncle Buzz and Aunt Roberta!

You know some of my favorite photos are the candid ones where my children's personalities show through and everyone is not sitting still and smiling. Maybe I resigned myself to the fact that with more than one child it's too hard to get them to sit still and smile. The photos turned out great and that last one made me laugh right out loud.
