Peanut-Butter-Chocolaty Goodness

Oh, Lordy...is this pie yummy. The boys and I enjoyed a lovely cookout with Rex, Kasey, and Banzer on the 4th of July (Steve was under the weather, so he missed out on all the fun, unfortunately), so I made this pie. You may recognize it from The Pioneer Woman ... when I saw it on her website, I knew I wanted to make it. Very, very simple, and delicious beyond imagination. I would put this pie in the same category as a cheesecake (i.e., super-rich) - - so yummy that you want to go back for seconds, but if you eat too much, you will most likely wish you hadn't.

I've made 2 of them since I saw it on her site-like the addition of the chocolate chips.

Kate have you tried her key lime pie recipe? I want to try that next. This pie is sooo good. It reminds me of "buckeye" candy...yum!!

I made the key lime one too but I liked the PB one the best. The lime taste was a little too strong for me. I want to make her blackberry ice cream next.

There's a key lime recipe too? I lost my favorite one, so I may have to look that up. And Leah and I might have to attempt this peanut butter one too - it looks incredible!

That looks absolutely delicious. I bet Tony would like it! It looks like it might be fairly easy too!

By the way, not sure if I ever told you this but I think it every time I read your blog...your profile picture is great...I love it! Love the shirt and necklace together and you look great!

Jen I went back at looked at PW's key lime pie recipe, but I think I'm going to stick to my standard using sweetened condensed milk. I think I'll make one today. Do you know I can never, ever look at a key lime pie, for the rest of my life, without thinking of you?? :)

Jenn, you are very sweet. Unfortunately, I rarely look that put together. I usually have peanut butter wiped on the leg of my pants (from somebody's little face), or boogers on the shoulder of my shirt. Motherhood ain't glamorous! :)
