For Father's Day, I made this cake for my dad, found at Smitten Kitchen. My dad loves peanut butter, and so I thought this would be the perfect cake for him. The recipe did not disappoint ~ it produces a super-moist, rich, delicious cake. Usually, I am not a fan of 'from scratch' cakes, because I find it difficult to come across many recipes that result in a moist cake. I find absolutely nothing wrong with cake mixes, in fact, I prefer them. However, this particular cake is so perfect in every way, it has been placed on a recipe card and added to my recipe box, where only my favorite recipes go. If you know someone who loves peanut butter, or more specifically, peanut butter and chocolate, give this cake a try...you will be happy you did!

Love the height of that cake but more importantly-where did you get that cake stand?
Marshall's. They have the best cake stands...always a bunch of unique and/or fancy ones. I used this for my dad's cake because of the shoes/shoe salesman thing. :)
All that chocolate dripping down is a glorious sight to behold. Your dad is one lucky person. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog and I'd love it if you'd come by and link your cake up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/06/sweets-for-saturday-23.html
Oh my goodness, that looks disgustingly delicious.......I'm a big peanut butter fan, so will absolutely be trying this out at some point. Thanks for sharing!
