EVERY room had been paneled. I did faux painting in the living and dining room, wallpapering the adjoining house wall with faux brick. But the kitchen is my big project. I love this kitchen and want the paneling gone. I want to do the room retro 50's. It has metal cubbards and a big green enamel table. I'm headed back home for Easter but the trip will be short and I won't have any decorating time. Keep blogging your progress and ideas, I can use the inspiration. Have a wonderful visit with your family and a Happy Easter,
JackiJackihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02322166500257152441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26075987.post-88672632177157772792008-03-13T18:48:00.000-07:002008-03-13T18:48:00.000-07:00You've got a lot of work ahead of you, but in the ...You've got a lot of work ahead of you, but in the end it will look great!

When we bought our house, the cabinets were so dark. We tossed the old hardware, sanded the cabinets, and stained them with a lighter, more honeyed finish. Replaced the handles for about $20 from the flea market hardware shop - and voila! Made a huge difference!

Good luck with your project!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12254439028682395047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26075987.post-31478558820560169602008-03-13T13:30:00.000-07:002008-03-13T13:30:00.000-07:00Someone told me to use liquid fabric softener to r...Someone told me to use liquid fabric softener to remove wallpaper, if you ever need to do so. Looks like the yellow lamp was made for your new set. Oh, by the way, I love the Target green bag you mentioned. Bought several of them-what a deal.
